In 2002, a wave of alarm swept across the globe as sensational headlines condemned Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) as a dangerous treatment linked to breast cancer, heart attacks, blood clots, and strokes. The fallout was enormous: panic-stricken patients abandoned HRT, and prescriptions plummeted by an astounding 70-80% in the US and 50% in the UK. The true tragedy? Countless women, including our mothers and grandmothers, were left to suffer unnecessarily, deprived of a treatment that could have significantly improved their quality of life.
The research behind these headlines was deeply flawed, drawing conclusions based on outdated HRT formulations and focusing on older women rather than the diverse demographic that seeks treatment today. Yet, the fear and misinformation spread by the media and the misinterpretations by parts of the medical community have cast a long shadow, leaving confusion that persists to this day.

Twenty years on, the myths surrounding HRT have not dissipated. Many women continue to grapple with uncertainty, asking urgent questions such as:
"When should I start HRT?"
"How do I know which HRT formulations is safe for me?"
"What’s the difference between body-identical and synthetic hormones?"
"What happens if I stop HRT?"
"When is HRT contraindicated?"
"Is it true that starting HRT too late could increase my risks?"
These questions highlight the need for accessible, accurate information, and a supportive space where women can seek guidance without fear or judgment. Unfortunately, the lack of clear answers often leaves women feeling isolated and overwhelmed.
Why I Trained as a Coach
This critical gap in understanding was one of the many reasons that inspired me to train as a coach. Witnessing how misinformation caused unnecessary suffering motivated me to become an advocate for clarity, empowerment, and evidence-based solutions. My mission is to dispel myths, share knowledge, and support individuals in making informed choices about their wellbeing.
As someone late-diagnosed with ADHD, I’ve experienced first-hand how the medical system can sometimes overlook the unique needs and perspectives of individuals. Similarly, the confusion surrounding HRT reflects a broader issue: the importance of tailoring treatments and guidance to each person’s distinct journey.
Through my training and personal experiences, I’ve cultivated a holistic approach that integrates physical, mental, emotional, and social factors. I believe in the power of knowledge, not just to inform but to liberate! Helping people break free from limiting beliefs and take control of their wellbeing. With a focus on dispelling myths and promoting evidence-based practices, I aim to empower women to make confident choices about HRT and other aspects of health.
A Call for Change
It’s time to challenge the outdated narratives and ensure that every woman has access to accurate, compassionate care. By fostering understanding and creating safe spaces for discussion, we can undo the damage of past misinformation and enable millions of women to reclaim their health and happiness.
If you're navigating questions about HRT or simply looking to explore your options, my door is always open. Let’s journey together toward a life of balance, clarity, and confidence—one step at a time.
